Overview
Verosa Online allows you to refund transactions by going to the transaction history page. Refunds can only be applied to transactions after they’ve been batched out.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Go to the Transaction History page and find the transaction that you want to refund.
- Click on the "Refund" button in the rightmost column for that transaction and fill out the fields.
- Product/Service: QuickBooks Online requires that a product/service is chosen for a refund.
- Refund Amount: You can choose any amount up to the original transaction amount. Verosa Online does allow partial refunds.
- Deposit Account: Where the refund will show up in QuickBooks Online. Verosa Online will issue a credit memo to the refunded customer in QuickBooks Online.
- Use Parent's Reference No: This will copy the reference number from the original invoice or let you enter in a custom separate reference number on the receipt.
- Click "Refund" to initiate the refund.
- Refund Successful: The refund was successful, and you will need to manually update the invoice in QuickBooks Online to apply the refund. Note that refunds can take a few days to show up in the customer's account.
- Refund Declined: The refund did not process successfully. This usually means the transaction hasn't batched out yet. It can be voided, or you can wait until it batches out to attempt the refund.
Troubleshooting
There is no refund option for the transaction: The refund button will only show up for successful transactions.
